Robert Hooke's rare manuscript of the minutes of the Royal Society which charts the birth of science between the years (1661-1682) was recently discovered in a cupboard in a private house in Hampshire on display in at Bonhams in London on Thursday 16 March 2006.The manuscript includes conversations with scientist Isaac Newton and describes numerous experiments and inventions that took place at the time.The manuscript is expected to raise £1million pounds when it comes up for auction at Bonhams, on March 28 2006.
