Baltistan is known as 'Little Tibet', heartland of the greatest assembly of mountains that stand on this earth. Its highest point reaches 8,611 metres and there is nothing below 1,500 metres. Baltistan is land of high mountains, longest glaciers on earth outside the polar region, sand dunes, quite lakes, and the unique high plateau of Deosai plains. Its borders on the Chinese province of Xingjian and Indian occupied Kashmir. EPA
