Londres, 5 de Maio. Lorin Maazel's '1984', based on George Orwell's dystopian novel, opened at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, on 03 May 2005. The libretto is by poet J. D. McClatchy and Thomas Meehan. The cast includes baritone Simon Keenlyside (pictured) as Winston, soprano Nancy Gustafson as Julia, and tenor Richard Margison as O'Brien. Maazel conducts. EPA
